Join Two Bad Tourists at Pride Con in California this July
We often talk about the LGBT+ community and are passionate advocates for gay events, yet gay prides, ski weeks and cruises aren’t the only ways to get involved. Yes we do love a good party, rainbow parades and don’t complain being surrounded by half naked people celebrating. However, this July we’re changing things up a bit and will be attending an inaugural LGBT+ event focused on inspiring dialogue, connecting fans and influencers and exhibiting the diverse talent within our colorful community.

5 Fantastic Gay Summer Events & Activities in Barcelona
Barcelona is a very popular destination for LGBT travelers so not surprisingly, our summer long #mygaypride campaign in which we covered 8 different city Prides also took us to this beautiful city on the Mediterranean coast. Living in Madrid, it’s just a two and half hour train ride away with the AVE, Spain’s high speed train. We used our Eurail pass, which allows us nearly unlimited railway travel around Europe for two months, to book our seats on the AVE and off we were! Barcelona is easily connected via railway not just within Spain, but there’s also a high speed train from Paris. Once there, we met our #mygaypride team members as well as our media partner, Gay Star News, and discovered some of the best summer activities when in the capital of Catalunya.

Palm Springs has been an LGBT getaway for decades ever since the glamorous days of Hollywood starting in the early the 1930’s. These days, Palm Springs may have a reputation as a destination for just middle aged or retired visitors but don’t be fooled. The city has plenty to offer for all ages and you’ll find travelers of all generations visiting the city, especially during major events like gay pride, The White Party and especially the Cochella Music Festival, which draws an especially young demographic.

Carnival Turns Gay for the First Time in Nice, France
As I sipped my gin and tonic in the lavish bar of the Ellington Hotel, I couldn’t help but think how excited I was to return to Nice. Nearly two years later, I felt like I never really got to know the city. And even better, later that Friday night we were headed to Place Masséna, the main square to watch the first Gay Carnival event (called Lou Queernaval) in the history of more than 130 years of Carnival in Nice.
Costume, check! Glitter and confetti, check! Excited for the parade and seeing the nightlife afterwards, check! Previous knowledge about the history of Carnival in Nice and what Lou Queernaval was all about….no f*cking idea! But I was about to get the inside scoop since we got to meet the team organizing the event.
