Couchsurfing for the First Time

Ever heard of couchsurfing.org? If not, I truly recommend checking it out. If so, friend me!

Basically, it’s a community of people who are surfers who need a couch to crash on or are hosts who offer up their couch. It’s a unique way to promote traveling, meeting new people and trying new things. Auston ran across their site during some travel research. Since we are essentially houseless and jobless for the next year, we’ll take any free bed we can find. We had our first couchsurfing experience in Nashville where we stayed with Chou, a phd student at Vanderbilt. She offered us her futon and recommended an excellent place for dinner. She was a great host for the night. Thanks Chou! I hope we can repay the favor someday.
